• Montoni's Pizza in the "Funky Winkerbean" comic strip is modeled after Luigi's Restaurant in downtown Akron.
• Because of its Underground City, Montreal is often referred to as "Two Cities in One."
• Alcoholics Anonymous was founded in Akron in 1935.
• Montreal is renowned for its "Montreal-style" smoked-meat sandwiches and bagels.
• Akron is the winner of an All-American City award in 198, 1995, and 2008.
• Montreal has so many churches, Mark Twain once noted, "This is the first time I was ever in a city where you couldn't throw a brick without breaking a church window."
